Victor Bigas and Bonamusa (Mataró, 1961). Degree in Information Sciences, specialisation in Advertising and PR. Communication consultant, journalist and photographer of nature and rustic world, winter sports and extreme sports.
I belong to different groups linked to various arts. From an early age, my artistic passion has always been accompanied by a camera and soon I set up a small black and white lab. My first freelance graphic collaborations were for the editorials of El Correo Catalán, El Noticiero Universal and El Periódico de Cataluña.
My photography has always been under the influence of two very different aspects: sport and nature. For many years I attended Alpine Skiing, Telemark and Speed Skiing in Andorra and Catalonia as a Graphic Reporter for the World Championships and World Cups such as World Cups for whitewater canoeing in Sort, Lleida.
As a nature photographer I have made escapades that have taken me to many parts of inland Catalonia, the Catalan and Andorran Pyrenees and the French Cerdanya. Towns, valleys, mountains, banks and meadows with the camera always ready to capture that unique moment that nature offers us. The light of a sunrise or a sunset, hidden rural spaces, its narrow streets, those small recesses. These are the details that have been with me for months in search for that special photo. I have passionately portrayed old windows, broken walls and half open doors. Mysterious stones you find on the roads, rusty irons, abandoned tools. Ponds, streams, waterfalls and their reflections, ice, snow. The peace that nature transmits has always been the object of my camera.
Observing, reviewing, educating the eye, being critical, very critical of my own work. Composing and framing, through my camera viewfinder, inspired me soon to begin my search for perfection in photography.
